Apparently, this trend is growing in the business industry.
A few days ago, Los Angeles Times released a story of this on-going trend that
is growing in San Francisco, California, and it expected to grow into Los
Angeles. Those involved in this business say that it is very convenient to
commuters and claim that it isn’t as complicated as one may think. These people
would be considered to be part of a secondary
group because they do not necessarily build a personal relationship, they
simply keep it strictly business, in order to achieve a similar goal. The car owner,
who is part of an online website that advertises her Honda Civic as a
personal-rental car, says that the renters are very responsible, and maintain
her car clean as well as pay any tickets they may get into while driving. It
amazed me to see how trusting people are with their cars in handing them to
complete strangers, especially being in a big city like San Francisco. Yet, it
shows hope of a neighbor-friendly society.
