Once upon a time there was prosperous there was a group called the Middle class. This group possesed the ability to support an entire family on the earnings of one working family member. Mothers could stay at home and raise children while the fathers worked. There are many that would have you believe that the middle class still exists, but does it really? The middle class is supposed to be the group between the rich and the poor. The group that gets by without making a great deal of money, while living comfortably. Yet the group that is now qualified as the middle class barely get by. Many people declare bankruptcy. in 2009 4% of "middle class" Americans homeless and in 2010 the number rose to 9%, at this rate one could only imagine the numbers in the next ten years. Realistically the difference between the middle class and the poor are beginning to disappear. Because if the members of this group are homeless, unemployed, and broke what is the difference?
