As Fashion Week gets under way in New York City, Andrej Pejic is one of the most recognizable and controversial models in the fashion industry. Andrej is not your typical model. He/she can walk down the runway as either a man or woman. When people see Andrej, especially men, they see him as a beautiful woman. He/she is beautiful but not a woman! Andrej is actually a man; his ascribed status. The fact that he can walk down the runway as either a man or women and his incredible physique, has allowed Andrej to work with some of the top designers, which include: John Galliano and Jean Paul Gaultier. Andrej has also appeared in several magazine covers. Last year he was on the cover of 14 magazine covers! His achieved status has been inspirational for people who are having trouble identifying their identity. Andrej hasn't revealed what gender he prefers. When asked what gender he prefers, he said, “Love has no boundaries.”
