One Million Moms vs Ellen Degenerous

JC Penny has recently named host Ellen Degenerous as a spokes person for them. A christian group called One Million Moms went against JC Penny for hiring Ellen because she is a lesbian. JC Penny has supported Ellen through out this and also have many of her fans. Her fans have created a froup called 1 Million People Who Support Ellen and they have over 80,000 members and gaining.


This story relates to chapter 5 because the achieved status of Ellen as a talk show host has led for her to become a big imfluence to many people. Her status as a lesbian has made some people go against JC Penny because they have a different view of the roles of people. THey dont agree with who she is but more than the amount that are against her are helping her against the one million moms.
