Currently countries all around the world are striving to break away from overpowering rulers and gain the independence they rightfully deserve. Scotland has initially broken the model and initiated a movement meanwhile other countries are considering independence as well. The citizens of countries such as Puerto Rico, Tibet, Zanzibar and Somaliland are pushing for autonomy. People all over the world are constantly having their basic human rights violated by others that have seemingly appointed themselves as “superiors.” It is these ascribed statues that lead to the interference of independence. There is never any basis for this superiority, it is as simple as being born into the right family. This Los Angeles Times article has clearly illustrated that these unfair established social structures across the world ultimately lead to the lack of basic rights of the lower class. It is difficult for the lower class to reach an achieved status because the upper class and rulers on constantly working to maintain power.
