Online Fame
Fame has changed throughout the years. In the past, people had to work extremely hard to become a celebrity and convince the owners that they were the best option. However the internet has completely taken over the way fame works. There are numerous of social networks and media that people use to communicate. Daily millions of people log into social networks like facebook, twitter, tumblr, and many more. You Tube is also a very famous website that millions of people long onto daily to watch videos and entertain themselves. Therefore celebrities like Justin Beiber, Kate Upton, Rebecca Black, and many more have used the media to become famous. We the people, the audience, control fame because we post links, people view them, and we pass the links around. People become famous because the cycle keeps going and going, and in a minute a video can have millions of views. Justin Beiber started posting videos of himself singing R&B songs and gained numerous of views including Usher. A couple of months after he signed a contract with Usher and became one of the most popular singers. Media is helping people like us, that make spelling mistakes in tweets and facebook updates become famous. Networking has transformed into a industry that is providing companies and people to promote themselves in order for them to be know all around the world.
