In 1920 two young girls, Kamala(8 years old) and Amala(1 1/2 years old), were found near Calcutta by rev. Joseph Singh living in an Indian wolves den. The Reverend was called in by locals that claimed to see ghostly figures walking with wolves at night. When he found the girls physically deformed. Their arms and legs were shortened making it so that they were unable to stand upright, their teeth were longer than you would expect in any human, much less children so young. The girls had no interest in interacting with humans, and hated exposure to the sun.They would also eat nothing but raw meat from a bowl placed on the floor. Despite their physical deformities the girls had heightened senses of smell, hearing and sight. In fact their sense of sight was so good that they could see clearly in the dark. Rev. Singh tried to civilize the girls, but seeing as he had no experience with rehabilitation he had little success.
