An
elementary school teacher was recently charged for abusing several students
during the 90’s. Although he had committed this crime he was not arrested
because there was not sufficient amount of evidence that found him guilty. But
twenty years later two girls claimed to have been abused by this professor. LAPD
started to investigate and found out that several other students were being
molested. Mark Berndt was sent to prison also known as a total institution-
where he will be separated from the rest of society. I believe that Burndt
should pay the consequences of his actions. What he did was morally wrong and
no child should have to go through that experience. The government should work
harder in capturing individuals that commit crimes such as in the case of
Berndt. I find it difficult to believe that this man was not found guilty back
in the 90’s. He has harmed to many children to even count and I personally
believe that the LAPD should have acted in a faster manner.
