On February 13, 2012 an article was published about a father from North Carolina who shot his daughter's laptop because of comments she put on her Facebook. Facebook is a social network used by millions of people all over the world to communicate and share ideas. Daughter of Tommy Jordan, Hanna decided to post a complaint online about her parents and the chores she has to do at home. Word got back to Tommy and he was so upset by his daughters remarks that he shot her laptop nine times using his .45 caliber pistol. Coercion is present in this scenario because Tommy was trying to stop his daughter from posting future negative comments by shooting her laptop. Tommy believed he won the battle in this conflict between his daughter and him. There was not much cooperation between Tommy and his daughter, or they may have been able to settle the dispute without letting bullets fly.
