This week, a restaurant receipt made headlines as a waitress was supposedly given only a 1% tip and a note saying ," Get a real job". This a great example of just how society has cut itself up in between as either the bourgeoise or the proletariat. After this photo was posted online many became outraged to think a wealthy banker would be so cruel to say something so demeaning to a waitress at a high-class restaurant. At the current moment, society and its citizens have started to feel the recession hitting them hard as one social class has felt pressure to survive while the other is keeping it chill in their own lives.
However, for this to ACTUALLY happen makes it seem that this story was too good to be true. Later this week, this same receipt story was proven to be a hoax. The restaurant owner concluded that the restaurant would never put any of its customers personal information to the public. In the meanwhile, Americans are struggling today to make ends meet while others don't .
