"New Message"

As the 2012 rolls into March, new cellular companies are dishing out the newest devices to win the hearts on customers. But how much of an effect does texting have in your life?

There is not one student I seen at school that doesn't have a cellphone, or if they do it's because they are waiting for the arrival of their new phone. Is it simply because the folkway has been bringing more attention to the convenience of cell phones. As in referred in " Texting May be Taking a Toll", they explain  the very actions of texting among young adults. "They do it late at night when their parents are asleep. They do it in restaurants and while crossing busy streets. They do it in the classroom with their hands behind their back. They do it so much their thumbs hurt."

Although, I must agree the convenience of texting has brought me many answers quickly, it can be a big distraction, especially when your homework seems boring. The thing I try to do is going a day without texting, if possible, or atleast limit myself. I don't want to be consumed in texting and forget how to function socially with people. It's a challenge I take, maybe it can be one you can do go against the folkway.
