Remember Trayvon Martin

It has been decades since the ending of the Jim Crow South, segregation, and lawful discrimination. Yet still, discrimination is happening in our country. Such is so with the case of Trayvon Martin, an african american Florida teen who was shot and killed by a neighborhood watch cheif simply because of his skin color and the fact that he was wearing a hoodie. To make matters worse the police and police cheif on the case REFUSED to arrest the killer though there were eye witnesses and he himself called 911 and said that he was following the unarmed youth. This kind of institutationalized discrimination is not only sad but sickening. For a country founded on that principle that all men are created equal, we sure do not abide by this creed.
