Mexican or American?

Villaraigosa

Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa became yelled at by a man, “to go back to Mexico”, after exiting the states capitol recently. The mans purpose for yelling so, became due to the fact that Mayor Villaraigosa comes from a Mexican ethnic minority family background while the man also claims the mayor constantly defends illegal immigrants. The man’s inappropriate statement to the mayor demonstrates racism, prejudice, and assimilations. The mans anger towards the mayor became evident when the man stated one of his friend’s son became murdered by an undocumented person. With this in mind, the individual is against any future proposals by the mayor as well as the majors own ethnic background.  There is no doubt that people like this man are the creators of stereotypes and discrimination in today’s society.  Mayor, Antonio Villaraigosa, although a figure of higher authority, for our community, is a clear representation of our whole diverse ethnic community, consisting of many nationalities and not only Mexicans. Our ethnicities are not all the same, but we are definitely composed of a single race of human beings with same biologic chal .
