In today’s ever-increasing population it is often difficult for individuals to find a job. It is especially much more difficult for those who did not attend college. UCLA questioned a sample of college students through a survey asking them why they are seeking to get a higher education. Many students replied by saying that in order to be economically stable an individual must attend college and obtain a bachelors degree. In addition, many students’ stated that their parents did not attend college. Therefore, after watching their parent’s struggle and work extremely hard to provide them with better lifestyles students are more eager to gain a higher education. Others replied by saying that they want to be able to learn something that interests them. I personally believe than a college education is very important in today’s society. It is apparent that obtaining a higher education will provide you with a better job but it will also help individuals become intellectually stronger.
