On Thursday, February 9th, 2012, an article was released about a serious situation in Iraq. Certain human rights groups have been working with Iraq citizens in order to stop the murders that have been determined by the court that have been happening for a number of years. The practice of executions is said to be a unfair sentence to many people in jail systems. This punishment has been given to many Iraqis that have been jailed and sentenced to death. The number of executions that have happened recently, has gone up tremendously. In the past ten years there has been over 1,000 executions. The human rights groups have come in and are trying to change Iraq’s social structure. The authorities that have the status to make a decision of the execution of an individual is an important one to any group of people. They may make decisions that will change many lives forever. Because of this, human right groups have come in and are trying to change judicial systems in Iraq to have more fair and humane ways of punishments for criminals.
