Birth Control: Right or Wrong?

Today, CNN released a report of the controversy caused by President Obama and his support for birth control for all women. President Obama had conducted a rule that would oblige all religious affiliated constitutions to offer contraceptives to their employees. However, with all the debate and controversy of the rule, today he announced a compromise that does not require the religious institutions to offer the birth control but the resource will still be offered through their insurance companies. Being a woman in this society requires us to be able to take control of our own bodies. We are part of an urban society, and thus live a fast-paced life which for some people is mainly focused in working, and therefore cannot worry or bring upon the birth of many children that we cannot, due to our economical status, support. Nonetheless, birth control should be offered, and President Obama, in my opinion, has put to great use his achieved status as president, in assuring women have the right to decide when they choose to procreate. It is then, our duty as the status of being citizens to use the resource in an adequate manner, and obey the laws that accompany it.
As I was reading this article, I found it very interesting, how many political Republicans, that oppose this rule, kept repeating that this act is unconstitutional, when just Monday, we viewed the many ways they seem to alter the Constitution in ways that it will benefit only them. Therefore, I agree with President Obama, he is doing something that benefits all women in some way or another, whether they agree with it or not, they are still given the option to decide when they are ready to procreate.
